My name is Amanda and I grew up in a small town in Irasburg, Vermont. Currently I live with my husband, his family, and our sweet dog Terry. We enjoy being outdoors with friends and family, cooking, and traveling.

I began my journey to becoming a therapist in 2011 when I went to Johnson State College for a degree in Psychology. Soon after in 2018 I decided to return for my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I completed that program in May 2021 and have been receiving supervision to allow me to become a LCMHC.  However, due to many factors I have decided to be a self-pay, sliding scale therapist.

During my time in college I also worked with a variety of mental health/substance abuse agencies and with an array of ages. However, I soon learned that working with adolescents and teens, is my passion. I currently work as a School-Based Clinician by day and private practice therapist by night. I value the therapeutic rapport and utilize CBT (Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy-see therapy types tab for more information) as I feel that our thoughts drive our behavior and if we can get them in check, we can control our emotions and behaviors. By providing therapeutic intervention early, I hope to help kids build better emotional control and lead a better life.
